GROSS_DIE_YIELD is based on the die size and wafer size.
It calculates the number of dies (dice) per wafer (gross dice), the yield and number of good dies per wafer (net dice) as well as the total cost of your integrated circuit.
To give you a better confidence, several models are used for the gross dice and yield calculations and each result is given.
It also draws the wafermap for 16 different positions of the microelectronic dies.
